Dieses Jahr habe ich den aktuellen Stand meines Roboters auf der Maker Faire 2017 in Chemnitz präsentiert. Mein Dank geht an die Veranstalter, dass ich auch ausgewählt wurde. Die Resonanz war wirklich beeindruckend. Neben Technikbegeisterten wurden auch viele Familien angelockt. Präsentiert habe ich insbesondere die Navigationsfähigkeiten und Sprachausgabe, erstere leider nur in der Simulation (siehe Video), da der Roboter bei den vielen Leuten nicht herumfahren konnte. Mit vielen Standbesuchern bin ich auch zum Thema Open Source Robotics ins Gespräch gekommen. Dazu hier noch einmal der Hinweis zum aktuellen Flyer mit der gesamten verwendeten Software. Leider waren die Flyer doch recht schnell vergriffen. Wie das genau mit der Simulation und der Sprachausgabe funktioniert werde ich in den kommenden Tagen hier an dieser Stelle veröffentlichen.
This year I presented the current state of my robot at the Maker Fair 2017 in Chemnitz. My thanks go to the organizers for selecting my project. The response was really impressive. In addition to technology enthusiasts, many families visited the event. I presented the navigation skills and speech output of my mobile robot. The navigation could only be seen in simulation (see video), since the robot could not drive around with the many people. I also had small talk about Open Source Robotics with many visitors. Here again the hint to the current flyer containing all information on the used software. Unfortunately, the flyers were quite quickly out of print. I am going to publish the implementation details of navigation and speech output I showed at the Maker Faire 2017 in Chemnitz here in the next days.
